Joshua Gottfried, CFP®, is a founder and principal of Gottfried & Somberg Wealth Management, LLC. Since 1998, he has advised individuals and families with complex financial lives, caring for clients financially in the way an old-time doctor cared for patients medically — with empathy and excellence.
His expertise in investment strategy and retirement planning has earned national recognition, with insights featured in The New York Times, Morningstar, Financial Planning Magazine, and Investment Advisor Magazine, among others.
Josh is deeply committed to his community. He serves as Chair of the Investment Committee and sits on the Board of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford and is Treasurer of Beth El Temple’s Endowment. He is also a past Chair of the City of Hartford’s Pension Commission.
He lives in the West End of Hartford with his wife and their four children.
Josh earned a B.A. from Muhlenberg College and an M.B.A. from Yale University
